The room fell silent. It was as if you could hear a fly go around the room and pinpoint its exact location without focusing on it. Thinking he misheard his friend, the blond kage clarified his doubts.
"W-What? Gaara could you repeat that? I thought you said the 4th great ninja war."
"That is indeed what I said."
It was true. Madara had declared the 4th Great Ninja War and there was no mishearing that. Seeing the mood tense up, the Tsuchikage spoke up.
"Alright then, what should we do now?"
He had a point. No matter what may come of it, they had to prepare for the upcoming war. The blond kage was still shook taking in all this information and couldn't say a single word. 'He can't think of anything right now, I'll handle the talk for a while.' These were the thoughts of a certain Kazekage who spoke up.
"Our nations must ally. It's the only way that we can fight the 7-tailed beasts."
"Wait wait wait. Gaara, you said the 9-tails and the 8-tails. Wasn't Raikage~san's brother already captured?"
"It seems that my little brother is safe, Hokage~san, but we can no longer allow ourselves to be bullied by the Akatsuki. Ally and we'll settle this. For good."
"I agree with you Lord Raikage. All four of us have already talked about this but what do we do about the hidden leaf? Lord Hokage is a capable fighter but a jinchuriki-"
Interrupting the kage, the door flew open with a pink-haired kunoichi calling to talk with the blond kage. But, before she could utter a word, she was surrounded by multiple clones transmitting senjutsu around her creating a seal. The kage realized that the clones were covering the room without any one of them noticing. Even Kakashi was shocked upon seeing the clones jump out of nowhere.
"Sakura Haruno, give me one reason why I shouldn't punish you for interrupting a talk between the kage."
"N- Naruto! Lady Tsunade wants to speak to you!"
"She's awoken!?"
"Yes!"
Without wasting a single second, Naruto dashed out of the room while one of his clones threw a hiraishin kunai right outside the room. The kage was shocked to see the sprint and almost mistook it for teleportation. Naruto kept sprinting till he punched open a door to see the Godaime Hokage sitting up on her bed. He jumped toward the woman who was caught in delight and surprise by the blond figure.
"Gr- Granny! You're up!"
"Calm down Naruto. And what's with this cape?"
"I did it, Granny! I became the Rokudaime Hokage!"
"Yo- you're joking, right?"
"No. Here see for yourself."
Naruto stood back up and turned to show his cape to the now stunned Godaime Hokage. Tears started to drip down her eyes as Naruto turned to face his grandma-figure once again. He quickly went and wiped her eyes as he spoke once again. Seeing the young boy achieve his dream, the ex-Hokage couldn't help but pull the blond kage in for a hug.
"You did it, Naruto! It's time to celebrate! Ramen's on me today!"
"Hol- Hold on, granny, you're crushing me!"
"Oh, my bad."
The Godaime let out an audible chuckle before losing her grip on the Rokudaime. He was like a grandson to her after all. Naruto created a shadow clone and spoke again.
"Granny, before we celebrate, I need you for a meeting."
"What for? Don't tell me, it's that bastard Danzo again, right?"
"Oh no. I killed him before becoming the Hokage. Some other people need to discuss something. I'll teleport us there."
Before Tsunade could question the young boy, she found herself laying on another bed facing one of the leaf's strongest jonin, who was currently busy reading his book. Recognizing the cover of the book, she spoke to her underling with pure anger.
"Kakashi! Why are you injured again!? And for kami's sake put that book away before I smash it out of your hands."
"Ahem, granny, to your right, please. The others are waiting for you."
"What do you mean-"
Tsunade spoke while turning her head toward the source of the voice before becoming silent and wide-eyed. Gaara nodded his head with gratitude for her helping him recover after the initial Akatsuki attack. The Raikage scoffed at the shocked Godaime Hokage while the Mizukage gave her a soft smile. The Tsuchikage let out a small chuckle and continued with a burst of laughter from the blond kage.
"Granny! You should look at your face! This is priceless! Someone get me a camera!"
"Shut up, brat! Tell me why the 5 kage are collected in Konoha not to mention a hospital at that!"
"Calm down granny. It's a very long story. After I took over, Raikage~san sent 3 of his ninjas to collect information about the Uchiha. Turns out, your student's beloved rouge ninja had joined the Akatsuki and captured the 8-tailed jinchuriki. A kage summit was held where the smart Uchiha tried to ambush us. Raikage~san enjoyed fighting two of his teammates while the rest of us bodied Sasuke. Afterward, Tsuchikage~san used his... his..."
"It's Particle Style, Lord Hokage."
"Yes! His Particle Style broke down Sasuke's body to a near-molecular level. So when this finished, a random side character appeared with Sasuke on his back. He introduced himself as Madara Uchiha but eh, beat him using dad's jutsus, and went on a date, which was interrupted by Captain Yamato saying that Madara had come and annihilated everyone else announcing the 4th Great Ninja War. Kakashi~sensei tried some risky stuff as always and here he is. I think that sums everything up, right guys?"
Hearing the blond kage confirm his words, a light bulb went up the Tsuchikage's head as he decided to have his revenge against the yellow flash's son. It wasn't anything serious but a small joke to ease up the mood. And so, the oldest kage in the room spoke up, with a smirk on his face.
"Lord Hokage, I think you missed a tiny detail, right Lord Kazekage?"
Naruto looked questionably toward the Tsuchikage before moving his sight toward his friend. Gaara saw through the Tsuchikage's plan and maliciously complied with it.
"Oh yes, Naruto, how could you forget? Lady Tsunade, Mizukage~san offered to take Naruto on a date in the mist."
"A DATE!?"
Hearing what Gaara had said, a certain voice boomed across the long hospital room. A shiver went through the blond kage's spine as he recognized the source of the mysterious voice. He turned toward the door to see an angry redhead Uzumaki with a scroll in her hand. He gulped before speaking to her.
"H- hey Karin~chan."
"DON'T HEY KARIN~CHAN ME!"
"L- listen, it's just a prank. Gaara's kidding. You can ask anyone in the room, right Tsuchikage~san?"
All the eyes shifted toward the now audibly smirking Tsuchikage who spoke with a smile looking toward the blond kage. 'Checkmate.' The Tsuchikage spoke as if he decided the boy's fate then and there.
"Don't worry little girl, although Lord Mizukage was biting her lips while asking your boyfriend out, Lord Hokage hasn't given her a reply, yet."
"SO YOU DIDN'T SAY NO IN AN INSTANT!?"
"Ah! Tsuchikage~san! Why would you say that!"
The blond Uzumaki was now running around the room begging for mercy from his girlfriend who was now unsealing and throwing kitchen utensils at extremely high speeds. The rest of the room burst into laughter seeing the couple not care about their surroundings and be so extremely calm. A few moments later, the blond kage stopped and created a shadow clone. The shadow clone pulled Karin in for a hug and vanished in a yellow flash. After letting out an audible sigh and remarking that Karin would kill him for that, the blond began to talk.
"Ahem. Anyways, granny, you're called here cause we need another Hokage instead of me. I've decided that I will train with Bee~san in Mount Myoboku while the rest of you prepare for war. I think that there is a way to befriend this big guy in my head and since Bee~san has befriended the 8-tails, I'll have him help me. Of course, I'll have captain Yamato to make sure I don't go berserk. Any questions?"
"Just one, Hokage~san. How do you intend to find my brother?"
"Oh about that, I'll be right back."
Without saying anything else, the blond kage disappeared in a yellow flash. Where did he teleport to? Did he have a seal on the Raikage's brother? How did Karin reach the hospital? Only time could tell...
